How Much Should Life Insurance Cost? What If I Smoke? - Port St Lucie, FL

Well the first thing you must understand is what life insurance prices are based on. The most important fact to remember is the younger the better. I'll put it another way:

Age
0 - 25 stupid cheap
26 - 40 reasonable
41 - 50 manageable
51 - 60 necessity
61 - 70 maybe you can afford it
71+ PRAY that there are any options at all!

Realize you don't gain anything by waiting to get coverage, because you are only getting older and most importantly your good health can change any time due to illness or injury. How many of you know someone who is in pretty bad health today when just weeks or months ago they were just fine? This could be YOU tomorrow.

The second most important factor that determines the price of insurance is health. If you are in great health and DON'T smoke you will pay 20 - 50% less than someone with health problems.

If you smoke pipes, cigars or chew tobacco, I have a company that will give you NON smoking rates! If you are under 25 I can quote you a juvenile rate which saves you a ton.

Remember you get what you pay for, the more an insurance policy covers the more expensive it is. I'm not just talking about face amounts. Policies that cover both natural death ie, heart attacks, strokes, diabetes etc. and accidental death ie. slips, trips and falls is MORE expensive than policies that cover one or the other. Some policies offer disability and critical illness coverage which are great for young people with families but again it will cost you a little more.
